Entrapment usually occurs when patients are entering or exiting their bed without assistance as a result of delirium, confusion, agitation, or pain.
Patient profiles at high risk of entrapment are normally; frail, confused, restless, or who have uncontrolled body movements.
At Vitacare, we've designed a series of products to address the 7 High Risk Bed Entrapment Zones (see diagram below). Most products are designed to fit standard hospital beds that are 6" x 36" x 80". However, each product can be modified to suit each unique situation for different patients and facilities.
